wow. this could be a record.

I do have pictures to show you. Ok. They haven’t been taken yet but I am working on it. The sweater in progress (Unikat, Color 06) is in the car as I finished the body today on the drive into work (lots of waiting in traffic). If I can get this sucker done this month that would mean 3 whole sweaters completed in the month of January this year so far (thanks Cathy!! I guess I am not ready for it to be February). I don’t usually complete one a month (or even a year for that matter!) The sweater is my own basic v-neck sweater. A top down, because those are the best.

As for my STR socks in Marble. Whitley has been in chew mode for the past two days. I think she is heavily teething. Anyways, she took my purse off of the table and took out the yarn. Thankfully the sock was not unravelled … however the rest of the ball was. So its on hold until I feel like re-balling it.

Thats all for now. I do promise pictures.

Thanks for caring about my sister and her baby during your own difficult time. I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your father. May strength and peace be yours with time.

PS: I love Unikat. The colorway you chose is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to see it as a sweater!

Hey Morgan, found you from your comment at Cara’s. I did have a lot that I thought about the new Interweave…and immediately popped off an email to them (didn’t like that pattern pics are separated from patterns and dislike having to turn to the back to read the last couple of sentences in an article). Then another the next day about a couple of more things (totally missed the patterns pictured near the centerfold and I don’t remember what else). And one more, where I compared spring 06 and 07 side by side and found there were quite a lot of things that I DO like in the new version (and some more that I thought was better in the old). I think they were tired of me by then! I just read through your previous posts, so sorry about your dad, glad you got your birthday with him. Check out my Feb 2 (silent poetry) post for a poem by my grandmother. I was with her when she died, and am always grateful for that.
