Yarn Store: Now open for business
October 20, 2007 3:32 pmYes you guessed it. I have my own yarn store. Pretty cool huh? Let me show you some pictures! (picture heavy post)

No. Its not a “real” yarn store. But its all mine. Those of you who have been to my house have seen the disaster area that this HAD been. Of course, I had taken a picture of it this morning at 6:15 am after a long night of “awake sleeping” and of course forgot to set the flash and didn’t realize it until I had pulled everything out of the room. Which made my basement look like this:
This is just some of what it looked like. The room that you can see into was also filled with all of this crap. So I went through it. Two bags of clothing to Goodwill. Two bags of garbage. A TON of empty boxes and a general mess. A mess that I have organized and still have some organization to do. But it is coming along. You know when you have “tasks” that you set for yourself but then don’t get around to them? It leaves you with that anxious feeling? Well that is what I’ve had. So. Now I have this beautiful area where I can spend some time.
Like my inspiration? The other one that you can’t see very well has the silk that I dyed in Salt Spring framed. I’m really quite pleased with what I accomplished today.
And if you were actually wondering if I really did send my clothing home from the Salt Spring Retreat, this goes to show that I did. Full of yarn babbbbeeeeeee.

Glad to have you back……looks like some really yummy stuff exploding out of your suitcase. The question begs to be asked, “Why didn’t you take a bigger suitcase or two smaller ones?”.
wow.
do you take online orders?
I really need to get some more stash…mine is PATHETIC next to yours! Fortunately, we’re a week away from SAFF.
glad you’re back - missed you!
Thanks for the inspiration to get my stash organised. Want to help?????
So, um, not that I’m stalking your stash, but what’s the Opal right on top? It looks very intriguing, a little like the old Ladybug colorway…
Can I come over to your house and play??
I’m holding my position that this stash is insane, or at least, crazy.
WOW!! I love how that room looks. I never saw how it looked before but am loving this version. Not to mention all the very yummy looking yarn. I think I just drooled on my keyboard.
Good luck with your new job too. It’s important to enjoy something you are going to be spending most of your time on. Life is way too short to waste it being unhappy. So… be happy!
Wishing you all the best.
Miss you.
Your yarn store is wonderful–congrats! And I love your fiber photos, too.
